about 26-28 celsius without any cooling device....

aah, I'm afraid this is probably too warm even for relatively heat-resistant species like Cynops cyanurus or ensicauda. They might tolerate temperatures like that for brief periods, but not consistently. At any rate, for breeding, they would need a winter period at cooler temps.

on the other hand, if you love amphibians, have you considered frogs? Many nice frog species like that temperature range.

so you sugested JFB, no wonder i found someone here said he is raising these guys, i dont belive it untill i read the article you sugested, thanks... :D.... maybe they has been soo long here in malaysia, they evolve to tolerate this kind of temperature...

JFB is generally used for Cynops pyrrhogaster. What Eva was suggesting was Cynops ensicauda, which seems to be particularly tolerant of higher temps, but they do have their limits, of course...
If you can´t manage to lower those temps at least for most of the year, i would go with Molch´s advice and center my attention on some lovely anurans which will thrive at those temps.

Pleurodeles waltl is also resistant to the higher expectrum of temps, but i wouldn´t recommend them either unless you can offer somewhat lower temps. High temps are most dangerous when they are constant.

yeah, sure i can lower the temperature to 23-24 celsius by using blower like right now, just wondering is there posibble any species can handle 26 celsius throughout the year, i have this chinese fire belly with me now and he already with me for 2 years already and he dont seem to sick at all and i used no devise to cool the water at all, and my paddletail newt also about 1 year with me dosent have any sickness syntom, but axolotls like usual, i have to give extra care to them cause its hot here and they are with me 4 month already....

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
