Question: Substrate

Can i use tiles as a substrate for my T.shanjing?

Tiles! I think not! The substrate is ideal for shanjings peat, however if you want to put a tile through the peat until they greet you.

how about half tiles and half peat? was going to add rocks and a pool on the ceramic tile side?
