I have a juvenile that i house in a 10 gal tank. the substrate is currently dirt that i got from my backyard (no fertilizers in it), with a few plants, a hide, and a small shallow water dish encase it feels the need to get a bit wet. i also spritz the tank with water daily so that everything remains moist. i feed the newt by hand 3 days a week small chopped up earthworms. is this appropriate housing?
