My tank is full of this stringy white stuff. I've been trying to look threw older posts on here and no one seams to have an answer as to how to get rid of this, or if this is actually good bacteria. It looks super gross and I kinda want it gone, but if its good and helping my tank I'll leave it in. Any ideas on what it could be?

Hey guys, you might want to chime in on this but isn't hydra stringy and white?

Or maybe check around. Maybe you brought in a little hitch hiker. Anything new cone into the tank recently?

It might be Planaria. They're like little worms that eat extra food and stuff. They don't really hurt the axolotl, but it is extremely displeasing to the eye. They can float around, but they usually stay on the glass and stuff. If that's what it is, just do water changes and feed your axies a little less until they go away.

I had some stringy white stuff in my tank. There was some blood worms stuck in behind the sponge of my filter that decomposed and made a nasty white stringy almost feathery looking stuff grow in my tank. Its nasty and I would do water changes to remove it. Can also use a turkey baster to get it out but sometimes it falls apart and you have tons floating around I just did a 100% water change since my tank wasn't cycled and I cleaned everything 100% and restarted. It has affected my Apple snail cause I cant get it out of his shell hes been on quarantine for a month now. Axie has not seen it again since the first time I noticed it.

no, all my axies are babies. We did a HUGE water change and got rid of it. Thanks so much for all your help :) I think axiebeans had it right though.
