Strangely colored T. carnifex

I found this pic on while surfing the net. Is it a special coloration or just something that occurs. I have never seen a T. carnifex like it nor any Triturus like it.

That´s a leucistic T.carnifex. They used to be very rare, but sadly they are becoming quite common in europe.
