Strange white worm/parasite?

I was just feeding my three Notos and noticed what looked like a small white hair particle floating in the water. As I looked closer I saw that it was moving/swimming.It was about the lenght of a eyelash but maybe a little thinner. It was wriggling about as if trying to reach the surface but sank to the bottom.I tried to suck it out with a turkey baster but the disturbance sent it under a large rock.I know it was not any type of mosquito larvae so I am wondering what it is. Im mostly worried about it being some type of parasite. My Notos unfortunatly are wild caught from Wards so I am sure they could harbor parasites. Does any one have any ideas what this may be?

These kinds of things are very common in established aquariums. I've seen worms in tanks that I would describe exactly as you did. It's very unlikely that they are parasitic. You should probably increase your schedule of vacuuming and water changing, and be extra-carful to remove all uneaten food. But otherwise, don't worry about them. See:
