Hiya, i had my Wild type female and my Leucistic male have a clutch of eggs early September, some of which i raised. Most came out Wild type & Leucistic like their parents, but one particular has caught my eye. The baby's colour hasn't change whilst he's been growing. I'm just wondering as he ages & grows bigger will he stay the same colour or change? Trying to determine what colour he is, light wild type? or marked leucistic? or different colour from the above? Thanks x Frankie73

he looks like a light wild to me, he is very interesting. A good way to tell wild from leucistic larvae is to look at them from the side. Leucistic will only have dark parts on the top of their body, while wild types will be dark all over.

I agree, it looks like a light wild type. The color will be better when it is 4-5 times the size it is now. Sometimes light wild type larvae turn out to be dark adults.

Oh will keep an eye on him/her then :) Thanks for your replies was very helpful, did think he was just very light wild type. il try and get a picture of it from the side to show you. Thanks again x
