Stocking ideas?

so in my last post I was thinking of fish and salamanders together. If that does not work out what could I have in a 26 gallon setup? I prefer semi aquatic in nature. Pure aquatic works too. I'm new to reptiles but have a ton of experience in fish and aquariums.
