Hey,
I was looking to find some many-lined salamanders in the costal plain of North Carolina, but no one I've talked to knows any good sites for them. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi Kristen and welcome to the site. Just so you know we do not allow specific location details to be posted on the forum – there are too many unscrupulous people out there. Hopefully someone can give you general info and some tips on habitats to look in.

Kristen,
I would strongly discourage you from wild-capture,and try seeking out some captive bred.
The coastal plain of NC, where my folks live, is developing very quickly. A lot of wetland is getting lost. Minimizing depredation of species is important until we can get a better handle on development and habitat management.

I'm not looking to keep or collect any, I would just like to photograph and release.
