It is possible, but may be hard for a 15 yr old. You'll have to clean all the babies water daily (theh can lay up to thousands of eggs!), chill the babies water, feed them, breed your food of choice for them, make sure they dont jump out of tub or anything, you can't keep them together as when their babies they're cannabalistic. Are you sure you can take on this responsability?

It's possible, but highly not-recommended. I'm around your age and my babies are a HUGE commitment, especially on top of school. If you want to raise babies, don't breed. My clutch was an accident and I ended up with 304 eggs. 207 were alive, now I have around 190 babies to take care of. (They need their own containers or they cannibalize) Save yourself and just get a few eggs from someone. It's worth it to wait to buy a few eggs than breed and get stuck with hundreds.
I can answer any questions you have if you are seriously considering this, but I still suggest you do your own research too. Also, females shouldn't be bred until they are 18+months old (mine was younger, but again the breeding was unintentional. She was plump and healthy before and after laying, no worries.)

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
