As I said before, Spyro is a 4-year old albino who's with me now for about three weeks. It's my first axolotl, actually my first caudate in general.
I got him in a small fishtank, which was so small that I'm using it for my two goldfish now. I immediately ordered a new 25 gallon tank. The tank came in 4 days ago, so I'm posting pictures now.
I think I'm doing it right, but I'm posting this just in case there's something extra I need to do.
The tank dimensions are 80x40x30 cm (width x height x depth). My filter has the 'rain' effect, because I have read somewhere on this forum that's better for an axie.
I feed him earthworms every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, on Sunday he gets a pellet of bloodworms. When feeding bloodworms, I use a feeding ring (see picture).
The castle is for him to hide in, because I find it prettier than a plastic pipe.
I'm using sand as a substrate, because he came in a tank filled with gravel, which he tends to eat.
I used to have plants in the tank, but he ate them, so I removed them.
Does anyone have another suggestion? If so, do tell me please
