Has anybody used spring water in a setup before and if so have they used Misty spring water I was just wondering if it was safe to use in a tank any help is appreciated thank you

Don’t know if this is useful but I’ve used spring water with bullfrogs, spring peepers , and leopard frogs before and it didn’t have any negative impact it I don’t remember what brand it was but if you do use it make sure you check the label and where it was shipped from some companies just use tap water ran through a filter which can remove some of the minerals needed for an amphibian to be healthy. Also thanks for being my only comment on my question.

I did a little research and the brand seems reputable. I’d still check the label for the mineral content and to check theres no added chlorimines, such as fluoride. Edit it may not have mineral content listed on its packaging Edit to edit In fact it’s more likely it doesn’t also I don’t even know what your requirement's are what is the ideal ph and does your salamander need hard or soft water etc.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
