Spotted salamander

Hi I have a spotted salamander in a 12X12X18 terrarium with live plants and josh frogs bedding. I was wondering if I could get him a friend. He's really active and love eating lol. I just feel that he is lonely. Is the any of salamander I could put with him. Maybe a marbled? Or would it be better to leave him by himself?

I wouldn't mix a spotted salamander with anything else, other than another spotted salamander. If you choose to get another, then I think you will need a bigger container.

Ok but another spotted would get along with him ok? Should I get a female? I read that 2 males may fight.

I have never seen any aggression from my males.

spotted salamanders are a solitary species, so they don't need a buddy.
