how COOL ay i cant wait till shes pregnat, i hope she lays her eggs in the next 2 days. He he.

congrats! hope all goes well for you and your axies(a tip: if you can get some plastic plants and put them in the tank for her to lay the eggs on makes cleaning 100 times easier + it wont damage the plastic plants and it will be easier for her to find places to lay them) thats were i went wrong when mine had babies, lol laid em alllllllllll over the floor, took ages to get em out!

hey thanks for the advice but i have real plants, and lots of them. should i replace them with plactic ones?? i think real plants are beta though

Prob are better for the eggs, alot of my live plants rotted after the eggs were laid on them, but then it was prob just the plants, and i think it was mostly due to the goo stuff left on them after the eggs hatched, and me not cleaning it off quick enough, lol oh well

lol but i think my plants are strong enought to servive, lol. the first day i bought my golden albino axie and put her into the tank i noticed the spermatophores. geez she must of been speciel then. the plants are brand knew, i bought them when i bought her. so i think thier gud.

lol, it doesnt take em long, my male tries to mate with my females every time one of them has been removed for some reason(usually injured)even if they have only been out of the tank for a week he must think Wohoooo a new lady! lol

ahahahahahahaha thats hilerious. mine i think loves the fact that he has a room mate. i got him the sxyiest girl i could find, so he should be happy. i just need to start getting prepared for the hatchling,, (bukets, extra air pumps etc), hey hailz do you think pets paradise would sell brime shrimp eggs. i live in sydney, can you tell us if you know of a place that does. i ned tot get prepared.

its so cool watching them mate then have babies( cant wait till the babies part), lol.

im afraid i wont be much help there, i never used the shrimp, mine have been raised on black worms that have been chopped up. i was unprepared when my babies hatched and thats all i could get my hands on without having to hatch any shrimp or anything and i just stuck with it,they love em. I can only suggest to call any local pet stores or pet food suppliers and see if they have them in stock, or they may order them in for you. i think a couple of people have ordered the eggs online. sorry good luck, at least your gunna be prepared!

hey thanks for the reply, ye i orded them online from ebay 5 dolars for 40gm ( have no idea wat that mesurment is) hope you can help..

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
