Speed up the tank cycle?

I'm wondering what's the best method to help the tank cycle? If i use the water from the current tank and fill tons of live plants for the new tank, will it speed up the tank cycling?

It will help it a long a little faster.

The plants will only slow it down as they take up ammonia and nitrite.
The bacteria that you want live on substrate so you can introduce them with gravel from the old tank.
