Hey, you might've seen my post under the axolotls but .. now we have a new concern?

I had posted my axolotl to another forum to ask a few questions about her and maybe get more advice and instead was met with that she might not be an axolotl and might actually be a larval salamander. So, I am hopefully posting this in the right place and asking for help IDing her.

She's 8.5inches long, which I thought was too big. The pet shop we rescued her from has NO information on how long they have had her or where she came from. I do want to make sure I get the right species though as her tank is in no way properly set up for a salamander and I don't want her dying, drowning, escaping or worse.

First image is her in the pet shop (obviously why we rescued her) and the other two now. I can get more pictures if needed.

Due to head shape I think that it's an Axolotl, and one that is sickly and has fungus on its gills. Other than that 50% guess and assumption I made, I can't really say anything else. I would wait for another more experienced member to chip in

Yeah :/ We got her from a local pet store knowing she was extremely sick. We've done salt baths and not really sure if there's anything else we can do. On day four of having her. Just hoping I have the species right was all.

I think so, but I'm most likely the most wrong person in the history of people
