Thursday my axie laid eggs!!! I have moved them in to a separate tank and most of them are attached to a plant. They are growing great and are already long and forming well. I cant believe how fast they grow it is the coolest thing i have ever seen!!!! I have a total of 3 axies... I think I have one male and two females. I think the two albino ones are females and the lack wild type is male. Both females were swollen by the tale and seemed very skinny when I found the eggs. I have no way to know but I think I might have two litters. Some one the eggs are forming and are already long and it looks like you can make out the head and tail some of the other ones are still just a round ball. I am not sure how to tell if they are not fertilized or if I just need to give them time. I don’t want to leave them in there and cause problems in the tank and for the other axie babies but I don’t want to remove them to soon either. I was at work all day and would not have seen the eggs in the morning so it is very possible that both of my girls laid eggs. They all three seemed protective of them but I just don’t know. Any advise or tips would be much appreciated also if you are in the US but not CA I will hopefully have some to sell soon. I need all the help I can get this is all new to me. I do have shrimp brine eggs in the mail and they will be here in time for their first feeding.
