Something in newt tank - help with ID please

Hi everyone,

I have what might possibly be algae in my newt tank. I'm just wondering could someone confirm this (and shed some light onto what algae it might be) OR tell me what it actually is if it's not algae.

You mean the web-like thing? If it lies flat on the glass, it´s a fungus, and is nothing to worry about.

Yea the web like thing.

It doesn't lie flat on the glass.

It looks like a mini tree, with one bit attaching it to the glass and the "web" like thing the branches.
