Something in my tank thats not my newt!

I have 2 FBN, i was doing a water change today and noticed something that looks like a 'slug' in the tank, it was about 1cm in length and a whitish colour, i do have live plants in the tank so along with that some snails but i do generally keep them under control. any idea what these things are?

Probably planaria...
Having an assortment of different creatures in the tank can be very useful to make the tank a better place. Unless there are worrying numbers of any particular one, there shouldn´t be a problem.
