Thats a chorus frog, or at least my best guess. At first glance it has the body shape of a Ranid, but i'm almost positive its actually a chorus frog because the the pads on its feet and its coloration. There a so many color patterns, the latin name, if i'm right, is Pseudacris triseriata. Nice find, you don't see them often, Alex.

I'm pretty sure it's not a chorus frog just based on size. Locality information would be very useful. I have some ideas, but a lot would depend on where it's from.

It looks like a brown form of Hyla regilla. As Justin said, it really depends where you found it.

I too was thinking about it being a Pacific Treefrog too, but was in a hurry so I didn't type it. Mark, i'm assuming you caught it in CO, right, and it definetely could be a Pacific. Alex.

Thanks guys, I live in CO, and that is where it was found. But it was found at a lowes store in the plants, so it might have been shipped in from another state. MAYBE. I looked up both of those frogs and they both seem like they could be it, but I own 2 western chorus frogs, and they are much smaller, so I dont think it is. So, I dont know.

PS. To the moderators, if this post is not apropriate and has links and not pictures, I would understand if it were deleted, but if you could wait till I get more reponses that would be nice. Thank you.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
