Well, this is my effort of capturing my little beauties on film (?)..still not as good as bukowsky's however!!

My melanoid's tend to hide from me.. I have tried reasoning but they just won't co-operate. I think to capture their portraits they will need to be in glass...my challenge for the next week.

Hi, How old are they now? You had some hatch about a week after mine and mine still have no back legs not even little buds. I'm abit concerned now especially if thats a pic of one of them. Great pics btw.

'Evening Freddy.

Please don't worry about your little axolotl developement, I appreciate its easier said then done..I too thought mine where deformed/ unhealthy/ unloved etc.. I looked on the site and the littleuns hadn't reached their mile stones( if you have children its much the same thing until they take over and do their own thing). Of this brood I have one who is close to quarter the size of it sibblings and its just started sprouting its front limbs. I have watched it feed so I know it gets its nutrition is fine.Every morning I look to see it is still here. Once they start growing limbs every thing about them changes..they just look and act like axolotl and they mine started to grow really fast.
My gang at present dine on at least daily sushi worms ( I hate preparing this but as they do eat this I find it a little easier to deal with!) and then its blood worm/ daphnia etc...though when this runs low its sushi twice daily . Half of them gorge them selves on pellets ( if you are interested pm me and I'll tell you where I get them from!), the others wait in their feeding station for me to produce more food ..I have them now in two containers a small aquarium and a sectioned of part of the adult tank. Your little guys will grow when ready and when they do its great.
