love the slate rock setup. i wanna set up something like that in my CFB tank but i can't find any slate rock and the petstore wants an arm and a leg for it.

Chris, check at your local Home Depot and other home improvement stores this summer. Sometimes they sell slate for walkways and might sell you small scraps at a discount.
