How big are your Pleuros? I have a pair who are about 3 1/2". "Steve" keeps laying eggs, but nothing ever comes of it - she's still too young to reproduce successfully, I think.
Yeah pretty much the same story. Several years ago I bought a pair. "Logan" was the bigger of the two so I assumed he was the male. The other one later died.
Logan however never laid eggs until she was combined with the juvies.
(Dont worry she was raised w/ COs and FBTs at pet store and shows no hostility or agression
during feeding).
Jim,
they seem to do ok with juvies but not with large larval ones. i'm not sure if i'd call it docility to others- larvae may just smell different. i put 3 big ones near morphing in the parent tank -none survived a week.(no big deal there-ive used others as feeders for spring sals). what surprised me was the speed of attack on some 3" axies i put in while doing a water change - see this post http://www.caudata.org/forum/messages/13/57519.html?1145072306
