Wow, great shots!

How big are your Pleuros? I have a pair who are about 3 1/2". "Steve" keeps laying eggs, but nothing ever comes of it - she's still too young to reproduce successfully, I think.

Logan(not pictured here) is over 8" but these juveniles are from 3 1/2" to 4" "Logan" also lays infertile eggs.

"Logan", huh? Was that a case like mine, where I thought "Steve" was a boy, but "she" turned out to be a girl? That was weird, hehe.

Yeah pretty much the same story. Several years ago I bought a pair. "Logan" was the bigger of the two so I assumed he was the male. The other one later died.

Logan however never laid eggs until she was combined with the juvies.
(Dont worry she was raised w/ COs and FBTs at pet store and shows no hostility or agression
during feeding).

Jim,
they seem to do ok with juvies but not with large larval ones. i'm not sure if i'd call it docility to others- larvae may just smell different. i put 3 big ones near morphing in the parent tank -none survived a week.(no big deal there-ive used others as feeders for spring sals). what surprised me was the speed of attack on some 3" axies i put in while doing a water change - see this post

Paris-
How mature do you think they have to be to eject their ribs? I've only seen it once and that was in an adult.

ive never actually see them do it. im guessing that larvae cant do it though.

I was thinking maybe when the orange spots become visible on the juvies, they are starting to show on some of mine
