Here is my mudpuppy again, he looks more settled in now and his gills are biger and redder. Does he look skinny to any one because he hasn't eaten much.

Ryan,
Bart still looks good. If it will ease your mind any I compared pictures of when you first posted your new Mudpuppy to the one you posted today asking if it was getting skinny and honestly Ryan it looks the same. Go back down to the Newt and Salamander Help where you posted on the Feb 13 and reread it. Your Mudpuppy is likely getting adapted to its new surroundings give it time. You were told by Garrison Kline "Honestly if you have gotten it to eat already that's a good sign." I feel he and the others know what they are talking about. You have asked in various threads if you are paranoid, I don't think you are paranoid, You are a caring pet owner but you need to relax and enjoy your new Mudpuppy. I am sure it will be fine. Hope this helps ease your mind even just a little. Take care. Michelle (keep posting pictures!)

Hi Ryan.
Bart looks great! With every picture I have to agree his/her gills look better & better. How's the feeding coming along? Bart really is looking like (s)he is getting very used to your tank. Great job!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
