No, this wasn't even close to there. This lake is at 4,940'.

cool, I went herping the other day and all me and my friend found was a toad, well some green frogs to but we didnt catch them

Thanks. Yeah, Dane, species like the Rhyacotritons are nice, but I don't capture them either. The Rhyacotritons are probably the overall rarest of the genera I have encountered up here. Their requirements seem to be more stringent regarding relatively untouched forest than the other species.

I found a vehiculum in that exact habitat for the cascadae. Too bad no torrent sallies in N cascades. Was the Gracile juvy just sitting under that log?
Nice animals Warren, especially torrent

Thanks, Simon. Yeah. Each log had a minimum of 3 and one behemoth log had 11 underneath!!! A total of 30+ adults and subadults.

Very nice Warren! I really like the Rhyacotriton! We should defintely do some sort of group expidition while the weather is still good.

Great, Jeff! I would certainly be interested. Drop me a line and let me know. I live in the Lower Yakima Valley, but obviously don't mind a road trip!
