One of my boys has bloat, which is of the "soft" variety. He has had this for some time now, and seems to be quite happy in himself, still feeding etc and trying to mate with his brothers! Have done a lot of research into treatment, and as a result I have recently moved them to a new tank, which is super clean, and have added salt, and i have also changed their diet, removing bloodworm altogether as it seems to be a generally held belief that a bacteria in the bloodworm is the primary cause of soft bloat. What I would like to know is if the "bloat" goes away after treatment has commenced, if so when should i start to see an improvement, or does the bloated appearance remain forever? Anyone successfully treated this before? Advice pretty please, help me save my Moe!
