Out of the original 165 that hatched back at the end of January I am keeping these 2

Meet
Rukmini ~ Hinid - It means "Adorned with Gold"
S/He is as far as I can tell a Melanoid albino, those eyes are still throwing me but s/he has some lovely yellow markings on her head and down her back with no shiny bits. One or more of her siblings had bitten off both her front legs up to the elbow on one side and a little higher on the other so I HAD to keep her They are growing back now

and..
Hoo-Dee-Nee or Hoo-Dee as he has been affectionately nicknamed. Named after the Great Houdini - He's been very good at escaping and hiding over the past few weeks.
S/He is Melanoid and has colored up nicely so far.

I'm sooooooo in LOVE, they are so stinkin cute!

I plan to keep maybe one more from the batch, just waiting for one to stand out from the others.

Blimey, I have to admit that Hoo-Dee just made me 'squee' a little bit.

And, whats with those eyes...? So, so pretty!

Yep I have pics of mum and dad

1-3 Dillon (daddy) Is the Dark Wild but he's mostly black and grey with some greenish colour on his head. The lighting was a bit too yellow in they 3rd pic.

4-6 Chrysta (Mum) is just a very pretty Golden albino who does NOT like her picture being taken :lol: Get her in the right light and she is actually a mottled gold and pale pink/white

7 Fish is these 2's big brother (Golden wild maybe, no-one is really sure what he is)

Just a normal brown-grey axolotl with a golden one.
I have a brown-black male, a golden male and a white female but i never get something special:happy:, the larvea are always brown-grey.

Awww I'm sorry I guess it all comes down to what recessive genes they each carry. Guess I got lucky with these 2 Heck I got lucky to get a male and female. I just let my 2 big boys pick one each :lol: next thing I knew there are eggs everywhere

Looks like your wild or even your white female if you have the same problem when she breeds with the golden, isn't carrying the recessive genes or they would be showing up. I got more wilds than anything else in this batch. Maybe 20 Melanoids and the same for the Melanoid albinos and a lot of Gold albinos but mostly wilds.

:lol: He makes me go 'squee' too.
I can't wait to see what it's eyes do.... Should be interesting, I hope.

Yep they go a beautiful dark purple when he's been active or is pumping blood into them for whatever reason but I don't have a pic of it that does it justice It's a beautiful colour but they look more black with a hint of the red when he's been quiet that pic is somewhere in between the 2.

The goldens go a fabulous shade of red too.
