My daughter has had a Spotted Salamander for a year. The salamander has always had large yellow spots on it's back, but she just noticed many very small white spots on the sides and bottom of the salamander that were not there previously. These white spots do not appear to raised. Does anyone have any idea what they may be and what she should do it they are a problem. Thanks.

Are you certain that they weren't there before? It sounds like normal markings to me.
I agree with Jan, pictures would be helpful.
