For about two weeks now my girl, Preistess, has been laying one or two eggs every one or two days. Before she started laying she was in a 75X40 tank with my male Cello, but separated. I am aware that somehow she may have been holding the sperms if she picked any up and now she is releasing the eggs. But why on earth would she be laying so slowly? and should the eggs jus stay on the floor of the tank or float and attach to something? I have tried taking a photo, but quality is pathetic. I am sure they are eggs though.
Is it worth keeping the one or two I find and seeing if they develop into anything? If so, how long should it take before I see a change?
The ones I have found, I have been putting in a small container of water, but any more I will put into a floating hatching net thing in the tank.

Can't advise here, but make sure you do a big waterchange every day on the container, so the eggs don't rot and die.

yes. i am aware of that. though, i am really lookin for further info. thank you though.
Also what colour should the 'yoak' of the egg be?

If you have albino babies, the whole egg will be white. If you have wildtypes, they'll be brown and white.

Its been about a week and there is no change at all in the egg so i'm guessing that for some reason she is laying infertile eggs.
