Hi everyone! I'd really appreciate some insight if anyone has any regarding Fylas. I'm wondering about this white on her. She's had it since before I got her. It's not fluffy/cotton wool-ish, or shiny. It doesn't flake either. I've tried gentle decaf tea baths before and there was no difference.

She came from a really crappy environment (overcrowded tank, gravel, no hides, high lighting, etc) with injured axolotls in the tank. Now she's in a 4ft currently (looking to upgrade to a 6ft later). Lights are just on for pics.

Her behaviour and eating is fine - no signs of stress at all. Parameters are pH: 7.6, Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 0 (my tank cycled a while ago, and I saw a rise during that time, it's just heavily planted). Temperature stays between 15-17 celcius. I use API tap water conditioner (no aloe in it). No other chemicals.

Any ideas what might be happening for her or how to treat her?

Thank you so much, that's appreciated. I haven't used this before, I'll look into it further. In regard to applying it (e.g. dilution, application) are there any instructions you'd recommend? Is there anything I should do to the tank too/any potential issues that may have lead to this? Or do you think it might just have come from stress?

the full treatment states for the axolotl to be placed into 50%-100% holtfreters solution, mix 1 gram potassium permanganate with 100cc (10cl) distilled water and swab area gently with solution.

mold can affect even the healthiest animal but stress will cause them to be more susceptible.
Thank you so much for your help. ☺️
