Sleeping or not well????

My axies just had a good feeding and they have been still with slight gill flickering for about 40 minutes. Is this normal?? Also, they are 4 months.

Yes they are just stuffed ! Haha they like to take a "nap" after a meal just like me after thanksgiving dinner

Yep. They are wide awake now and look like they are hunting.... even with swolen bellies. Lol

Yes they would probably eat every hour if you let them. I'm surprised that we don't see more obese axolotls with the way there appetites are . I put a few ghost shrimp in every couple weeks just to let them hone there hunting skills . I can't wait for my guppies to drop there fry so I can see how they like hunting them . Mine even rip there floating plants apart trying to find the little snails in there haha .
