Hi Julia! Thank you for your reply!
Is this hide not ok for axolotls? A lot of the daytime they hide together in their epoxy log. They do not seem to like the lightning (especially Ska).
We are going to put a led strip in soon with a dimmer. I love how they swim up and out of the log to gulp some air. There are two big openings on top and a big one on the bottom left side.
The log is not round, but half-round so they can get in and out via the opening on the bottom next to the backwall. Ska seems to have found every opening (he/she) can get through. Hunter is very social, he comes up as soon as he spots a shadow/face and we can hand feed both of them.
