I keep my pair of T. marmoratus in a tank just next to my L. boscai. I am always struck by the HUGE difference in size between these species, which were once classified in the same genus.
The animals in these photos are all males, and all of them are full-grown young adults (2-3 years old) in breeding condition. They are:
Triturus marmoratus (~12.5 cm)
Mesotriton alpestris apuanus (~8.5 cm)
Lissotriton boscai (~6.5 cm)
