A female can lay eggs without a male present (although I don't think it's very common). However, they will not be fertile. I'm not sure if axolotls do this, but some caudates can retain sperm for up to 3 years or more.
If they're not fertile, you don't need to freeze them. Either leave them there for the female to eat, or throw them away.
