Sill looking for healthy pachy's

Hello, I had posted for the first time last week. This was by far the most knowledgeable resource that I have been able to find on pachytritons. I am hoping to get a suggestion on how I should go about getting a few more. I haven't had much luck.

Really, this post should be in the "wanted" section of the forum. Sometimes people need to get rid of paddletails because they are too aggressive, so you might just luck out at some point.

They do show up at pet stores, but it's sporadic. You could ask your local pet shops if they could special order them for you. That's probably your best bet. Sometimes they carry them at places online, but you can't look at them before you buy. Try gherp.com and fish2u.com.

They show sold out right now for that species online but when I was there, what they had in stock didn't represent what they were showing online so I suggest you call them to get it straight.

um ive had bad dealings with east bay, more of an attitude issue from one of the owners. i visited the store in person and they weren't very knowledgeable in newts (despite their expertise in other cold blooded animals) if you decide to order from them-see if they have now offered a live/health garentee, otherwise keep an eye out here for them. i see paddletails alot here but since they have to be housed separately i cannot buy up a bunch.

There is a petstore very near me (in Northern Virginia) that carries pachytritons and has done so pretty regularly for at least 2 years (it's the only newt they've ever carried). They usually have a lot (minimum of 3 and maximum of 14). I've never been interested partially b/c of their aggressiveness but also because I'm reluctant to buy from petstores. From what I can tell, their stock seems relatively robust. I doubt they'd ship though. If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you contact information.
