Hello there,

I've bought a bigger tank for my axy, and I want to put slate tiles on the bottom.

I know I need a silicon sealant which DOESN'T contain an anti-mould / anti-bacterial agent etc.

I found one at ASDA (U.K. equivalent of Walmart) but it specifically says not to be used for use in areas which are permanently wet, e.g. in aquariums.

Pretty please would someone be able to recommend a sealant to me? (Preferably one that can be found int he U.K.!)

There are many different silicon sealants out there... it can take some time to find the right one :p
the one I got specifically said that it was for aquariums

I went to bunnings (a hardware store) and found a sealy's brand (do you have that there??) it was a glass sealant that specifically said "safe for aquariums" on the tube

I've never heard of it, but that by no way means that it doesn't exist over here

We're off out today to pick up the tank I've bought, so might pop into an aquatics shop on the way back :) if that fails...Ebay!
