Signs of Stress/Discomfort/etc....?

I am looking to compile a list of signs to monitor in my salamanders to ensure they are not stressed, uncomfortable, unhappy, etc.

Can anyone provide some information for me?

For instance I have read unusually restlessness/anorexia could be a sign of over heating
scratching of the skin in aquatic species is a sign of dirty water

Any others? I want a detailed list if possible....thanks!

Curling of the tail ( it hooking) or the gills going forward are both signs of stress.
