Hi Again,

How strange..just posted my first question in years, and am following it up with another one..

Just looked in my parents' tank ( They are over 6 years old)and Amethyst is unwell..she has something red and swollen protruding from her mouth.

I am not certain i know what is going on, but i do suspect an infection of sorts..

Last week, while I was feeding her, she clamped onto the tweezers and I think when I removed them from her mouth, I must have injured her..

Please help me to fix this or to find the most peaceful way to help her to pass on if she needs to..

I suspect a visit to the vet is needed.

Would you be able to add some photo's and also what type of newt/ salamander is it?
