Sick newt, need help

I've recently purchased two fuzhongs, and one doesn't appear to be doing too well. On top of not eating white patches have begun to develop on it's skin, on it's sides and around it's mouth. It has become more lethargic, to the point where when it does move it can hardly drag itself along the bottom of the cage. If anyone knows what is causing this or how to treat it, any advice would be much appreciated. Also, should my other newt be removed from the aquarium?

I can't help you on the sick part but as I have learned, you should remove the other newt so what ever it is dose not effect the other one. As I think you know, newts commenly don't seem sick until there about to kick the bucket.

my sympathy is twards you and you newt, may he get better.

Thank you for your advice and sympathies, they're much appreciated
