I have a group of 5 taricha granulosa and lately, one by one they are starting to act and look funny. I keep them aquatic but they can move on to a big piece of cork. Now in summer their water is quite warm at 20-25 degrees. I'm cooling it with ice bottles.

Lately, they have their eyes closed - it looks like the are lying deeper in their sockets somehow if that makes any sense. They more lethargic than normal, just floating at the surface like they're unconsious. Some animals have a abdomen that will appears en re-appears.

When picked up, they come to life wriggling as they do and suddenly they seem much more alert. They are still eating normally but I have no clue what I can do to stop this. It sounds like it's bloat is there any way i can possibly treat it?

Hi Erik,
how old are your animals?
The temperature is a little high. Perhaps it is better to offer them a terrestrial setup (especially if your animals are young). Can you post some pictures? Some of my females often look a little swollen after eating red mosquito larvae, but this will disappear after some hours.

I agree that it sounds a bit too warm. I wouldn't recommend them above 20 Celsius, this species likes cooler temperatures.
I agree photos would help, and knowing what age these animals are.

The symptoms of them closing their eyes and being lethargic makes me think its too warm, but that's just a hypothesis.
Keep cooling the water with ice bottles, that will definitely help. -Seth
