So I noticed that my Lucy is getting very fat looking. Not sure if I should be worried or if she's just healthy.
She seems fine. Eating great, active, and looks healthy otherwise.
This is my first axolotl so I'm still learning. She has the coolest personality and I swear she recognizes me. Lol she always comes out of her hides to see me, not so much for anyone else.
Her tail looks a little curled in these pics but it's not always like that.

Adding a video to show her behavior.

Also I know the water pressure is too much. My pump recently quit working so I'm using this one temporarily. She's persistent tho. As you can see, it doesn't stop her from trying to come to me.

what are you feeding her and how often?
her back legs are slightly chunky so it can be weight gain rather than gravid.
at the moment she looks well fed but happy.
if you are concerned ...
use 2g/l salt in the tank, this will reduce the risk of osmotic edema.
feed a balance diet which includes eyed prey ie.. shrimp, krill, mysis, fish etc.. this will reduce the risk of edema due to organ issues.
