Illness/Sickness: sick fire salamander?

I have had a new fire salamander (Salamandra salamandra) for over two weeks now. This is my first salamander and although I don't have any experience with the guys, I did quite a bit of research into fire salamander culture. I purchased picked him up from the pet store after a "heat-wave" we had here in upstate New York, and was worried that had him in a stressed state. He is housed in a 20 gallon terrarium with paper towel as the substrate, some terra cotta pots as hides, and a water dish just in case. The temperature in around 60 degrees F. He ate very little of what I offered him, a cricket from forceps, and only a few of the earth worms left in the tank for him. Just today I noticed some discoloration on his right parotoid gland, under further inspection; this gray discoloration seemed to be occurring on other areas of his skin where the yellow spots had been. I took a picture of him, but my camera cord is broken so I can post it! The spots seem to just be gray discoloration; they are not a fuzzy mold. He does not move from his hide much, and well, I’m just worried. Any input would be appreciated. I’ll try and get those photos up tomorrow.
