Hey you guys. I had a questions about feeding, but it doesn't concern live or frozen foods so I put it here.

My newts (a cynops orientalis and a taricha granulosa) eat frozen bloodworms, live chopped nightcrawers, and the taricha will also eat repto-min sticks (used on occassion).

I was wondering if it would be okay for them to have shrimp pellets. I got three ghost shrimp for my taricha, and she hasn't eaten them yet (may they will just become new pets?) I threw in a shrimp pellet for them, and my taricha loved it! Is this okay or should I not feed that any more?

Shrimp pellets are just fine. I wouldn't feed them only that, but there's nothing wrong with using them.

Thanks Jennifer, I figured they were fine, but I wanted to make sure. They get the nightcrawlers and bloodworms mostly, but I thought this would be a good "treat" also.
