I was trying to change my little guy's filter the other day but he grabbed on to it so I couldn't. Caesar is a little antagonistic, don't you think?

(I only have one overexposed picture and one underexposed- go figure)

Show me your axolotl's funny pictures :)

That's so cute.

My guys seem to get on ok. I have 3 older ones in one tank. El Bandito is probably the most outgoing.

The 3 younger ones in the other tank have just matured, and are still a bit more active, when they are not ignoring each other.

Aww The first picture is so cute. I want another axolotl because the companionship between them just seems amazing.
:D

I've been quite lucky with my gang.
The three older ones grew up together and the owner needed to rehome them. They were just starting to mature when I got them, and apart from one incident when they were being fed prawns for the first time and Dafydd scared Pringles so much he jumped out of the water and landed on top of the internal filter, they get on well together.
My three younger ones have also always been together, and I purchased them at the same time from the same pet store.
As all 6 have now matured and are all males, I have ordered a large tank (5ft x 2ft, 125G) which should be delivered in October. I hope to be able to introduce all the axolotls in the new tank so that they can all be together.

The girls are learning to get along in their new, double size tank (40 gal long) after recovering from a fight and separation in the 20 gal. Here they are exploring via snooting around for salmon pellets. (Artemis and Dr. Piglet)

Everyone's axolotls are so cuuuuute xD

Fozz tried to back out of the corner of his tank and I think his fins sort of acted like a sail and turned him up on his nose. He just sat there on his nose for several minutes until I reached in and eased him down. Weirdo!

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
