Sexing Notophthalmus

Hi, i wolud like to know the sex of this 2 newt....

I think they are 2 females but i am not prety segure.

I think it's hard to tell unless it's breeding season; mine start changing around November/December. The most significant sign (and easiest to spot), in my opinion, is that male's tail will get very wide (vertically). But maybe others can tell more easily.

At this point i would speculate that they are both males based on the size of their hind legs. Not too sure though.

they look like males because their hind legs and the males have larger black spots.
