Hey Maja, I like what you did with it! It's really starting to come together now

Very pretty.

thanks.. :D i got another new plant today, they keep comming. ;) wasnt there anything you could recommand ?

I think that everything looks very nice. I really like the natural look you are going for. If you would like you could add some Java Moss to the rocks with rubber bands. Eventually it attaches on it's own and cover the rock. But I also like how the rocks look the way they are.

Some people here use Java Moss. I do not have any in my tank. You could also add a pretty background, something natural to go with the tank

thats so typical !!! but i have never had java moss before, heard that its hard to make it grow ?
but thanks for the advice.. :D

ooh i love your little axie, he so cute peeping out from behind the rock.
i have some java moss that after about 6 months had finally attached itself to a piece of drift wood. I pulled it off and a few little bits stayed behind. Now those strands are growing up some more new strands, about 10 or so.
I have it under a single tube, in a shady corner, so it probably could have happened faster. But in my opinion it is medium to slow growing.
If you get a big bunch just wrap it around the rock and sort of twist it together. You can also attach it with cotton thread, which will eventually disintegrate, or you can snip it off when the java moss is attached.
Its great when the axies hide in it. Two of mine have dug themselves a little 'nest' and take turns sitting in it.

oh thanks

Get some dwarf riccia and that will create a lovely, natural carpet for your axies to run and lie on! It can be found on ebay!

I like this setup, very natural, I would like to have one like this someday for another mudpuppy or other Necturus spp.
