Hello, I'm planning on getting a few axolotl juvenials in a month or so and I'd like to put some live plants in the tank to help oxygenate the water and remove nitrites. I've heard that Java moss and Java fern are good plants to use but I don't know if there are any in my area.
If I were to go to my local pet store and buy live aquarium plants from them, what would I need to do to make sure they're safe to go in my tank? I know you need to quarantine them, but for how long and what am I looking for to know that they can go in the tank?
I really want to make sure i do this right the first time.
