So like 3 weeks ago, my axolotl threw up in her tank after I gave her a worm. I waited like 2 weeks before giving her another worm, and she ate it, but started to "cough" or at least it looked like it. Never seen her do that. She didn't puke that one up though. She's been able to eat her pellets as usual. I give her 3 every other day but I don't know about the worms. Could I have a bad batch that is just not good? My dad says I should release the worms and go buy new ones. On top of this, I have not seen my axolotl use the bathroom since. She has ultra fine sand in her tank and no stones, so I can't see how impaction could be an issue. I asked my mom and dad, they haven't cleaned anything out of her tank while I was at work.

My axolotl isn't lethargic or acting weird at all. I did a big water change today, like 70% of her tank, didn't have to take her out, she just sat in the corner like a good girl as I did it. After doing water changes, she always goes exploring. Swimming around the tank, sitting atop her filters, hiding under her driftwood cave or sitting atop her rock. The rock is massive, like a baseball, not big enough to threaten her. She doesn't look sick, isn't acting sick, I just haven't had to remove any poo in like more than a week. I am very concerned. Should I be?

She's 3 years old, fully cycled tank, no plants, temp floats between 62-66, depending on how cold it is. I float ice packs inside zip lock bags atop her water surface to cool things down, works well and she doesn't freak out over it. I used to give her an earth worm once a week, at least, but not after the recent events. If anyone has any idea what's going on, please let me know.

Thank you.
