Hey there everyone, I'm new to this forum, but thought I'd start out with a question right away. I've always been a snake junky and I'm straying out of my normal realm here. I do some volunteer work for a nature center in Kansas and have been asked by the director of the place to try to collect a specimen or two of Ambystoma texanum to display for a day during a public program called Walk With Wildlife. The past trend has always been collecting the animals, displaying them for half a day, then immediately releasing them back into the wild, and it has always been a success. But like I said, my niche has always been snakes. The territory I'm trying to focus on is south central/south eastern Kansas. I've done some research on these salamanders such as breeding habits, habitat, ect.. I was wondering if anyone here has any tips or pointers to help me narrow my search and make it as productive as possible. Thanks!
