I am thinking of getting another axolotl I currently have a 20 gallon long tank for my current axolotl he isn’t huge he’s only around 4 months old? I don’t really know his actual age it’s an estimate but I’m wondering if I can fit 2 adult axolotls in a 20 gallon or would I need to upgrade?

Yes, 2 axolotls can comfortably live in a 20 gallon. You will just need to watch your water parameters closely as your tank compensates for the new waste increase.

Be sure to have separate hides for the both of them and to quarantine the new Axolotl for a couple weeks before adding him to the tank with the new one to ensure it doesn’t have any diseases. Of it looks like your first Axolotl is getting territorial when you add the new one, either try adding in a divider for another couple weeks, or take them both out and rearrange the tank and then reintroduce.
